Granola

Granola is generally viewed as being a healthy breakfast or snack option.  This crunchy food made its commercial debut by Dr. John Harvey Kellogg (yes, that Kellogg) due to its healthy benefits, great taste and shelf stability.  Dr. Kellogg believed that the traditional hearty breakfasts of the time could be healthier, while at the same time provide the same levels of nutrients.  When he discovered granola, he knew he was on to something.

Today, not all granolas are created the same.  There are in fact vast differences in granolas on the market. Many granolas contain many artificial, filler ingredients, such as corn puffs and high fructose corn syrup. These tend to lack many health benefits that consumers expect from granola and often taste unnatural.

Mass produced granola does not have to be unhealthy or tasteless.  It's all about creating food innovation teams and food scientists creating the proper recipes with taste profiles and specifications and doing so with natural ingredients.  This is no easy feat in any product, pies, bagels or in this case, granola.

When done right, competitively priced, nutritious and delicious granola options can fill the shopping carts of loyal customers looking to ensure their families get the best options and the best price.

One of Harlan's many delicious granola mixes

Harlan knows that when consumers find products they love, those products see significant increases in sell through.  This is good news for the retailer unless the supplier can't meet supply schedules.

Harlan understands the absolute requirement to meet the complicated dance of meeting Just in Time shipping schedules in order to keep inventory stocks within acceptable ranges and shelves full of in-demand products.

That is what we do here at Harlan Foods-delight consumers with great product options that fit their budget requirements.
